Phase Two

April / May / June

In the spring and early summer, we begin the second phase. We will add bacteria, fungi, and microorganisms to your lawn’s granular nutrient packages. Routine watering will then activate the new soil biology to initiate the spontaneous growth of helpful microorganisms. The beneficial bacteria will form a symbiotic relationship with the root zone of your trees and shrubs, which boosts the exchange of nutrients to sustain years of healthy growth! The improvements will be immediate in your lawn and incremental in your current trees and shrubs.

Phase Four

October / November / December

The cooling temperatures will offer optimal growing conditions for soil biology. The temperature-sensitive turf grass will become dormant, but the microbiology will continue to proliferate in soil temperatures of 50-degrees Fahrenheit and above. The wintering process will include granular nutrient packages to treat sub-soil microorganisms, reducing pathogens and disease. We will also provide saprophytic bacteria and fungi to facilitate the decomposition of residual surface organic matter.

All of the fertilizers, soils amendments, micro-organisms and products used by Herrera Landscaping Services are 100% organic, composed of all natural ingredients. The fertilizers have a healthy, early aroma, containing essential trace minerals, food source nutrients, compost and bacteria designed to support the development and growth of beneficial micro-organisms in your soil, promoting a healthy sustainable root system for the turf grass, shrubbery, trees and plants in your lawn and garden.
